Answer:The Beatles song Across The Universe was beamed into space by NASA

If you have mentioned NASA, you get the points. But, any answer which has something to do with the yogi’s death does not fall into BB’s spectrum interest, so no points there :)

Dude… seriously… why the Bleep? Its not like its hard to find out which song it is.

Anyway, the song is: Beatles – Across The Universe

The next line in the song is Jai Guru Deva Om.

On February 5th, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi passed away, and I guess the song had that last line in it because of his influence (the Transcendental Meditation bit) on the Beatles. So, thats why “this” was in the news lately.

  5. On February 5, 2008, at 00:00 UTC, NASA transmitted “Across The Universe” in the direction of the star Polaris, 431 light years from Earth. The transmission was made using a 70m antenna in the DSN’s Madrid Deep Space Communication Complex, located outside of Madrid, Spain. It was done with an “X band” transmitter, radiating into the antenna at 18 KW.
