A star (ID’d as BPM 37093) in the Centaurus constellation (1) was found to consist of 90% crystallized carbon in a BCC lattice structure, similar to that of diamonds. Astronomers promptly named it Lucy, after the famous Beatles song “Lucy in the sky with diamonds” (2)
