This image of two Marvin-the-Martians was etched onto the image sensor onboard the Spirit and Opportunity mars Rovers. what makes it special is that this is what is called “chip art”. Many details all over teh intarwebs to understand what makes this so special.

This ancient sword is made out of steel which is full of a “miracle material”, “discovered” only in 1991. The presence of this material made this sword extremely hard and flexible. This sword is claimed to be the first place where this “miracle material” was used (much before it was “discovered”).
