IBM’s “peace, love, linux” campaign ran afoul of San Francisco City officials, who took objection to Big Blue/Ogilvy and Mathers graffiting their precious streets. THey slapped a fine of $100,000 plus on this “guerilla” marketing campaign, which soon ended and went more mainstream.
