2 was one of the first and most successful products of the company co-founded by the dude in 1.

Identify 1 and 2

Although many did not identify 2 properly, anyone who got 1 has been given points. Namely: nishansolo , varuns88 , duriel , Dibyo , Ranjana Ninan , Shreyas , quantumfoammakesmeroamakhi , shivathilak , shenoyvarun86 , RajT , udupendra , bobo , Tathagata Chatterjee , prasanth , jayanth and shashank.

  1. Masaru Ibuka, co-founder of Sony Corp

  2. TR 6

Sony’s “Transistor” series of radios made the word “Transistor” synonymous with radio. Apparently, when Sony came up with the company name, they wanted a word “not existing in any language”. They have apparently even won law-suites which claimed the word existed in some language.

If anyone here is feeling litigious, Sony (Soni) is surely a Punjabi word :)

nishansolo, varuns88, duriel, Dibyo, Ranjana Ninan, Shreyas, akhi, shivathilak, shenoyvarun86, RajT, udupendra, bobo, Tathagata Chatterjee, prasanth, jayanth and shashank
