The 8, who left Schockley\’s company (Schockley s/c lab) because Schockley\’s micromanagerial style did not go down well with them. They left to form Firchild s/c and were known as the \’Traitorous Eight\’ or \’Schockley Eight\’ or \’Fairchild Eight\’.
