Ha-choo!
Guest question from Manish Achuth
- Identify the man.
- He was an assistant to someone. Who?
- And what first does this “Movie” have?
In the wake of all the SOPA/PIPA (yeno papa) talk going around, this does seem fairly relevant :)
(This question will be modded on the 24th)
Ok, I’ll level with you – we’re desperately in need of guest questions :| Send in anything you’ve got! boiledbeans@gmail.com

Fred Ott got his 5 seconds of fame as the first person to be caught in moving pictures by his boss, Edison. First movie loaded in a kinetoscope.
I think it was cool of Harper’s Weekly to print all the frames in its magazine so people could create the movie as a flip book.

Doh! SOPA/PIPA. You wanted the “first” to be that it was the first copyrighted film. Surely, it’s in the public domain, by now.
