The WANK Worm was a computer worm that attacked DEC VMS computers in 1989 over the DECnet. The WANK worm had a distinct political message attached, and it was the first major worm to have a political message.WANK stands for Worms Against Nuclear Killers.

An anonymous hacker group Lulzsec, unhappy with PBS Frontline’s hour-long documentary on WikiLeaks has hit back at the Public Broadcasting System by cracking its servers, posting thousands of stolen passwords, and adding a fake news story to a blog belonging to the august PBS Newshour.
