Answer:
Richard James a.k.a Aphex Twin released a single which was titled the equation in the 2nd pic. In this, if you analyzed the music signal in a spectrograph, he managed to ‘encode’ his face into the signal. Pic 1 is that signal.

Richard James a.k.a Aphex Twin – electronic musician.

The single has two b-sides. Track two, commonly known as “[Formula]” or “[Equation]” .

Near the end of the second track of the “Windowlicker” single (commonly referred to as “Equation”), a photo of James’s face is embedded as a steganogram which is revealed when run through spectral analysis

Reminds me of the old ARG days where we embedded text messages into .mp3 files using MetaSynth.
Here, Richard James did it with an image of his face for the A-Side track of “Windowlicker” The formula was the title for the 2nd track, B-Side song, “[Formula]” or “[Equation]”.

    Aphex Twin.

Aphex Twin’s ‘Windowlicker’ single has a track whose title is the equation in the second image. The track is commonly called just ‘Equation’. A spectrogram of the weird-sounding track reveals an image of Aphex Twin’s face.

Aphex Twin EP’s track is called “[Formula]” or “[Equation]” because it used a mathematical formula as above.
This track has a special feature which is that in the spectrogram of the song can see the faces of Aphex Twin (Richard D. James).

Aphex Twin’s “Windowlicker” EP’s song #2 is named [formula] and when viewed with a spectrum analyzer shows the [picture].

  7. aphex twin’s windowclicker song called formula or equation
    that equation’s the song name
you can see that image on the spectogram

The single has two b-sides. Track two, commonly known as “[Formula]” or “[Equation]” due to its actual title being a complex mathematical formula (ΔMī¹=αΣDi[n][ΣFij[n-1]+Fexti[n̄¹]]), has a very experimental sound.
Viewing a spectrogram of the second track, with the frequency axis in a logarithmic scale, reveals hidden images of James’ face that were apparently synthesized as sound by Aphex Twin for the express purpose of being discovered in this manner. It is one of the few instances of an artist “embedding” images into his music

  9. The second track of “Windowlicker” is called “[Formula]” or “[Equation]” because it used a mathematical formula to its title:
This has a special feature which is that in the spectrogram of the song can see the faces of Aphex Twin ( Richard D. James )
    – a photo of James’s face is embedded as a steganogram which is revealed when run through spectral analysis.

Near the end of the second track of the “Windowlicker” single (commonly referred to as “Equation”), a photo of Richard David James’s face is embedded as a steganogram which is revealed when run through spectral analysis

The latter is track two from Aphex Twin’s album Windowlicker. This track when visualised in a spectrograph, shows you the ‘demon face’ pictured above.

The formula is the name of the 2nd track from Aphex twin’s track WindowLicker. A spectrogram of this song with frequency axis in logarithmic scale reveals the artist’s face embedded in the song. And the horrible album cover is embedded in my mind.

  14. great question. 1 is Richard James aka Aphex Twin. In the music video of his single Windowlicker, this img is shown and 2 is a song title referred to as [formula] or [equation]

  15. great question. 1 is Richard James aka Aphex Twin. In the music video of his single Windowlicker, this img is shown and 2 is a song title referred to as [formula] or [equation]. the song 2 appears on the B-side of Windowlicker single

  16. Abinash

1st pic is that of the face that appeared when Aphex twins Song equation was played through a spectrograph program
2nd is the equation used to turn sound into visual representation most probably the one used by the spectrographic program

  17. The second track of the EP by Aphex Twin is called “[Formula]” or “[Equation]” because it used the mathematical formula to its title.

This has a special feature which is that in the spectrogram of the song can see the faces of Aphex Twin

  18. vinayaknp

The Aphex face. Hidden demon face in in one of Aphex Twin‘s tracks, #2 (the long formula) on “Windowlicker”.

  19. Antariksh Bothale

Windowlicker Track 2’s name is this whole formula. The spectrogram of the track reveals the face of Richard James.

    erm, more keywords: Aphex Twin

This is the spectrogram image of the Mathematical Equation song from Aphex Twin’s Windowlicker single.

  21. Richard James’ (Aphex twin) face image seen in the song called “(ΔMī¹=αΣDi[n][ΣFij[n-1]+Fexti[n̄¹]])” or simply [Formula]
