Answer:
NASA Researchers in Mono Lake, California, have discovered a microorganism (pictured) that uses arsenic instead of phosphorous to thrive and reproduce. This shatters a lot of our current beliefs about what environments can support life.

    They can survive on Arsenic.

  4. bacteria capable of incorporating arsenic in place of phosporus,in its proteins, dna & rna–this supports the
idea that extraterrestrial life could have a different
chemical makeup when compared to life on earth.

These microbes found in Mono lake contain arsenic as the basic cell component unlike phosphorous that was assumed to be the basic cell component.

These are the recently discovered Arsenic based Microbes ( instead of phosphorous).
And they’ve conveyed that they come in peace. :)

  7. stinky94

GFAG-1 : in the absence of Phosphorous, it can incorporate arsenic into their dna, proteins, et cetera.
first of this type, as arsenic was considered to be poisonous to all organisms.

NASA announced that a research team has found a microbe in California’s Mono Lake that is unlike anything encountered before. This microbe’s cell components replace phosphorous, one of the building blocks of life, with arsenic. This is the first life-form discovered that deviates from the basic SPONCH formula for creating DNA . The discovery expands the possibility of finding extraterrestrial life, and the number of environments where we might find it.
