Drag. Drafting or slipstream is used to reduce drag.

Drafting or Slipstreaming encompasses many classical “concepts” of physics.
Pressure, viscosity, gas, etc. and spans a couple of minor fluid mechanics disciplines such as aerodynamics within fluid dynamics.
    Hard to pick one.

Drafting or slipstreaming. Close alignment between two racers (cars, skaters or migrating geese) reduce the aerodynamic drag. There are some other terms such as upwash that describe similar phenomenon (just throwing in the term to keep AutoRaja happy – not sure what term you are looking for).

its called as Drafting or slipstream.. which s a technique used to reduce d drag…and for better utilisation of energy!

Birds fly in V formation for d same reason!
