Apologies for the delay in posting people. Please consider this as a late post of yesterday’s question. Today’s question will be posted in a few hours.

Answer:

Thats our very own Earth and Moon as seen from the Messenger spacecraft which is headed towards Mercury.

Working this one out was simple. This is obviously not the pale blue dot, because Earth does not look like a dot. And since you can see only one moon, Earth is one of the most obvious guesses. And since you can see the moon, obviously the distance form the planet should not be too much. This leaves us with a spacecraft close by, which is the Messenger :)
