    Its a parody of The creation of Adam by Michelanglo.

    Its many of the depiction of the Flying Spaghetti Monster who is the all mighty one of the parody religion of Pastafarianism ( a pun on Rastafarianism) . It was created by the Bobby Henderson as a satirical protest against the decision by the Kansas State Board of Education to permit the teaching of intelligent design as an alternative to evolution in public schools.

    Pirates as considered to be the original Pastafarians. They celebrate every friday as a holiday. Other holidays are Ramendan (portmanteau of Ramen and Ramzan) and Pastaover and Holiday.
