    The image on the left is the new Google Phone, to be name Nexus One which shares its name with the robots in “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep” written by Philip K. Dick , the author of Blade Runner (movie poster on the right) as well.

    Isa D.H, daughter of PKD saw a connection between “Do androids dream of electric sheep” and Nexus – 6 robots, from Blade runner. She didn’t like it.
    Harrison ford was Rick Deckard in the movie.

    The picture on the left is that of the Google phone – Nexus One, which runs on the Android Platform. The image is that from Blade Runner, which is based on the novel \’Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep\’. So, looks like the connection is Android.

    The name is believed to be a reference to the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, which later became the film Blade Runner . The book and film are centered on a group of rogue replicate androids that are identified through the model designation Nexus-6. It is not known if Google’s mobile platform was called Android because of the book or if they just used the name Nexus because of the android connection.

    The movie is an adaptation of Philip K Dick’s novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep” and his daughter Isa Hackett is PISSED OFF cuz Google didnt approach her for permissions.
