(1), a famous botanist who was quite adept at looking at little things through microscopes, discovered something about small particles that was named after him. However, much later, people suspected that he may not have been able to do any such thing, because his microscope (2) was not good enough. Much later, (3) came along and proved that, while using (2), (1) would’ve seen (4).

Who’s (1)?

Also, happy independence day Indian readers :-)

Cracked by everyone.

Answer:

  1. Robert Brown
  2. His microscope
  3. Brian J Ford
  4. Pollen up close through that microscope

The hullaballoo was about Brownian motion.
