Answer:
Edwin Aldrin, Mike Collins and Neil Armstrong (1) were presented a special Hugo award (named after Hugo Gernsback-2) for “Best moon landing ever” :-)
Prasadbhat points out that Gernsback was the first to describe a lunar rover, and these three actually rode around in one on the moon, so points for that, too!

Since I cannot connect the Apollo 11 landing zone with the Hugo Gernsback Moon crater, I’ll settle for the connection being that Gernsback envisioned mining the Moon and the Apollo 11 mission did it.
