Jefferson Airplane (2) alleged that the cover of their album Thirty Seconds Over Winterland was pilfered for the After Dark screensaver (also) showing flying toasters (1).

  2. Jean Valjean Says:

Jefferson Airplane’s second live album, Thirty Seconds Over Winterland was released in April 1973. Its cover art depicts a squadron of flying toasters, a design that the band later alleged was plagiarized for the famous “After Dark” computer screensaver design.

  3. Dibyo Says:

Thirty Seconds Over Winterland is a 1973 album by the American psychedelic rock band Jefferson Airplane – it has flying toasters on the cover.

  4. Raghuvansh Says:

    After Dark screensaver, Jefferson Airplane.

JA sued the creators of the screensaver saying that the design was a copy of the flying toasters on one of their album covers. Case dismissed because they hadn\’t trademarked the flying toasters or something of the sort.
