EFF (electronic frontier foundation) is a digital rights protection organization launced by mitch kapor, gilmore and barlow (of grateful dead fame). recently they honored craigslist founder craig newmark and also has collaborated with him on several digital rights issues; a famous one being the newmark and turner case. Also EFF and craigslist have been at loggerheads about the erotic section of craigslist. I am not sure if this is enough ‘explanations’ :)
