Pic is The Worship of Mammon

Reference is The Book Of Mozilla

“Mammon” refers to Microsoft, whose Internet Explorer browser was Netscape’s chief competition

Mammon slept. And the beast reborn spread over the earth and its numbers grew legion. And they proclaimed the times and sacrificed crops unto the fire, with the cunning of foxes. And they built a new world in their own image as promised by the sacred words, and spoke of the beast with their children. Mammon awoke, and lo! it was naught but a follower.

from The Book of Mozilla, 11:9

The pic is Worship of Mammon. Mammon means Greed is the self-serving desire for the pursuit of money, wealth, power, food, or other possessions, especially when this denies the same goods to others.

In the Mozilla easter egg book and Book of Mozilla, Microsoft Internet explorer is referred as Mammon

  4. When you type about:mozilla in Firefox, you get “Mammon slept. And the beast reborn spread over the earth and its numbers grew legion. And they proclaimed the times and sacrificed crops unto the fire, with the cunning of foxes. And they built a new world in their own image as promised by the sacred words, and spoke of the beast with their children. Mammon awoke, and lo! it was naught but a follower.” Mammon is IE, which slept [as there was a 5 year gap between IE6 and IE7] and Firefox gained followers through Spread Firefox campaign.

Reference to “apocalyptic text” in the ‘Book Of Mozilla’. This “book”‘s presence can be witnessed by typing in “about:mozilla” and seeing some fancy text on Firefox and the “blue screen of death” on the IE.

And the beast shall be made legion. Its numbers shall be increased a thousand thousand fold. The din of a million keyboards like unto a great storm shall cover the earth, and the followers of Mammon shall tremble.
