Answer:
Neal Stephenson’s essay “In the beginning… there was the command line.” took car-OS analogies to a whole new level by doing this. He compared Windows the rusty old Station Wagons, Apple with a European Sedan, Linux with a freely available battle tank, and BeOS with the Batmobile.
