Free Speech flag. But what makes it a great question is the funda behind the colors of the flag :)

  2. gudanggurum Says:

    Free Speech Flag

    This is used as a substitute for the hex no 09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0 which is one of the cryptographic keys for HD DVDs and Blu-ray Discs.

    gudanggurum
  3. Chandrakant Nair Says:

It is d “Free speech flag “…It contains RGB values forming the forbidden number of the HD-DVD/Blu-Ray encryption key,but saved in d JPG format…N +C0 at d end signifies that just publishing a number is “Crime zero”..

  4. insufferablejake Says:

Google says that this is the ‘Free speech Flag’
which is “A(sic) image created by/for anti-DMCA (etc.) activists that contains RGB values forming the forbidden number of the HD-DVD/Blu-Ray encryption key, but saved in JPG format which causes a one-bit error in several of the bytes. “

  5. sidsen Says:

This is the Free Speech Flag. The flag arose out of the HD DvD encryption key controversy and the attempted censorship / copyrighting of the number. The colours of the flag in the hex format work out to #09F911 #029D74 #E35bD8 #4156C5 #635688 +C0. Popular culture also adopted these shades as new colours naming them free speech green, free speech aquamarine, free speech magenta and so on.

  6. Goyal Says:

    Free Speech Flag

The hex codes of these colors +C0 represent the HD DVD encryption key that was mentioned in relation to the Streisand effect question ;)

  7. Ranjana Ninan Says:

Free Speech Flag- against numbers beging placed under intellectual property.Colours are in hex code format and c0 stands for crime zero.

  8. Nakul Says:

Free speech flag. Protesting Protection of numbers funda.

  9. varuns88 Says:

    Free Speech Flag.

The RGB encoding of each color gives 3 bytes of the 09 F9 HD-DVD key, with the 16th byte being C0 appended at the end.

    varuns88
  10. duriel Says:

the colors of the flag are (in hex code format):

    #09F911 #029D74 #E35BD8 #4156C5 #635688

    (The HD-DVD processing key number)

  11. duriel Says:

oh, its also called the “Free Speech Flag” or somesuch

  12. Debasish Says:

Free Speech Flag - AACS Encryption Key with RGB values of the colours as the “Those numbers again…”

  13. joe Says:

The AACS encryption key in resistor colour code. (+CO)

  14. Boneywasawarriorwayayix Says:

It is the Free Speech flag. This is basically because of the decree ruling “the intellectual property of numbers”

    Simple question da :)

  15. Boneywasawarriorwayayix Says:

by the way C0 stands for Crime Zero…that is there is nothing wrong in sharing a number

  16. rajeshvj Says:

    The Free Speech Flag.

MPAA and AACS demanded several websites to remove pages and links to pages containing the 128-bit encryption key (commonly referred to the 09 F9 key) which is one of the keys used to encrypt HD-DVDs and Blue-ray discs.

The protest led to the creation of the ‘Free speech flag’. The RGB encoding of each of the five colors provides three bytes of the 09 F9 key, with the sixteenth byte “C0″ appended in the lower right corner

    Super question.
