The device in the picture is the Leica 1 camera, the first production 35mm camera ever. It kickstarted an entire generation of photographers and established Leica as the awesomest cult camera brand ever, especially for 35mms and SLRs. The bottom row shows a bunch of iconic photos taken by Leicas (Che’s headshot, Elliot Erwitt’s smile/kiss and the V-J day kiss)
