    1. The Simputer by Amida
    2. The Buddhabrot, a buddha-like rendering of the Mandelbrot set

Amida is another name of the Amitābha, a celestial buddha described in the scriptures of the Mahāyāna school of Buddhism. Amitabha is the principal buddha in the Pure Land sect, a branch of Buddhism practiced mainly in East Asia. According to these scriptures, Amitābha possesses infinite merits resulting from good deeds over countless past lives as a bodhisattva named Dharmakara.

  2. The connection is “The Buddha” – the fractal on the right is nicknamed “the Buddhabrot” while “Amida” (“amitabha” is another manifestation of this word) is a famed buddha in Buddhist lore.

    Buddha connects.

    1) Amida Simputer – Amida is a form of Buddha also known as Amitabha

    2) Buddhabrot – so named because it resembles a meditating Buddha

  4. Shakeel

Amida simputer …The name “Amida” is also a synonym for Buddha

  5. The Amida Simputer, the Amygdala – one named after the other?

  6. nishas thambi

    Connect: The Buddha

    1. Amida Buddha, who is the embodiment of enlightenment, compassion and wisdom. He “was known as Dharmakara Bodhisattva in the distant past.. [D]uring the time of Lokesvaraja Buddha, he was the king of a country and, having heard the Dharma taught by Lokesvaraja Buddha, he gave up his throne and seeked to learn the Dharma under Lokesvaraja Buddha”.

The Amida Simputer was named after him, basically. Because it reflects PicoPeta s vision in a deep sense; originality combined with universality and humanism. (“Our technologies will strongly reflect these values”, says Prof V. Vinay, Chairman, PicoPeta.) :-)

    2. The Buddhabrot, a fractal that looks like the Buddha

  7. 1) Amida simputer
    2) Budha

the picopeta simputer was named after amida-budhha

    Just guessing,
    1) is the Simputer from PicoPeta
    2) photograph of any effect of physics associated with CV Raman

1: The Simputer (made by picopeta, called Amida Simputer)

2: An image of the Mandelbrot Fractal, using a rendering technique called the Buddhabrot (according to this page: http://www.superliminal.com/fr...../bbrot.htm)
It is associated with buddha because it somewhat looks like a meditating person… though, it is fully computer generated.

    Anyway, the connect is Amida
Ie: Amida Simputer/Amida Buddha: (short: Amitabha)

Possible meaning: May mean Amitha (as in sanskrit infinite… thus referring to infinite wisdom of buddha, and infinitely recurring fractal pattern)

now, back to my beta test of mythos…
