Answer: The  TARDIS from the Dr. Who series.
1) The time machine from Bill and Ted’s excellent adventure was a reference to it
2) The somewhere in time cover has the TARDIS on it’s back
3) Tony Blair claimed that 10 Downing Street was larger from the inside, like the TARDIS
4) Dead giveaway – Dr. Who poster with the TARDIS on it

My guess is the TARDIS/Phone Booth thing which is common to Bill & Ted’s, The Iron Maiden Cover, Tony Blair and Doctor Who.

Actually, Tony Blair? wtf. Is it because his wife’s name is Cherie Booth? lol.

better resolution cover for somewhere in time:

  7. The time/space machine TARDIS(Time And Relative Dimension In Space) is common to all.
1 is Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure which features a phone-booth(a TARDIS) which travels in time.
2 is the Maiden album ‘Somewhere in time’ which has a TARDIS in the album cover art
3 is Tony Blair who compared 10 Downing Street to a TARDIS(with reference to it being larger on the inside then on the inside)
4 is one of my all-time fav series Dr.Who which introduced the TARDIS to pop-culture.

I should be made to listen to Vogon poetry for 24-hours at a stretch for failing to identify the still from HHGTTG. I felt it seemed familiar, too familiar.

the connect is: time travelling telephone booth(TARDIS)… bill and ted get onto one in pic(1).. pic(4) is of dr.who and the TARDIS in the background(which is a time traveling phone booth..) the somewhere in time album cover has a phonebooth in the background on one of the roofs.. which was a reference to the TARDIS(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Somewhere_in_Time_(album))..and Tony Blair and his colleagues call 10 Downing Street “The Tardis” owing to its deceptively spacious..(http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/5401250.stm)

    btw.. awesome question!

  10. shivathilak

ok long winding connect, the connect is time travel using a phone booth disguised time machine.
also tardis referring to the phone booth is mentioned on the back of the cover of the album, is also the nick name of 10 downing street.
now in bill and ted’s excellent adventure, there is a song played by maiden in the future which bill and teds band supposedly plays to reunite the planet blah and there are references to maiden in the movie.
no 4 is dr who. which also involves time travel using a police phone booth. tony blair or his look alike plays the part of an evil prime minister of england in the series.
    phew…

i got another connection. verify this. alex winter who plays bill in the movie is of british origin
,and the writer of the movie Ed solomon is married to cynthia cleese, who is british!
the band iron maiden is british.
    tony blair is british
the show dr who is also british.
but this connect is cause its christmas time and i have no work to do in office….

TARDIS – a time machine and a spacecraft.
( TARDIS : Time and Relative Dimensions in Space).

1 is a trailer shot of the movie “bill and ted’s excellent adventure” which is comedy/science fiction movie in which two slackers travel through time in a “Tardis” in order to assemble a menagerie of historical figures for their high school history presentation.

2 is the cover of the album “somewhere in time” which has a TARDIS located on the back cover of the cover art.

3 is a picture of Tony Blair. Tony Blair and his colleagues call 10 Downing Street “The Tardis” owing to its deceptively spacious interior.

4 is a trailer shot of “Doctor who”. The TARDIS is the Doctor’s method of travel through both time and space.

    so tardis it is.

  13. shivathilak

so the connect basically is tardis cause its in the movie, on the album cover, a nick name for 10 downing street and a method of time travel in dr who.

  14. VikraM

    TARDIS…

  15. RahulRanade

    TARDIS

  16. Ranjana

    Tardis

  17. iamniks

    TARDIS

1)Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure and its various spin-offs featured a time travelling phone booth, albeit without the roomy interior.
2)On the roof of the same building is a police telephone box; this is likely a reference to the time-traveling TARDIS of the BBC TV
    3) Tony Blair compared the interior of his official residence at 10 Downing Street to the TARDIS when asked if it was larger on the inside than it looked from the street.
4)Doctor Who is a long-running award-winning British science fiction television which features TARDIS as the time machine.

    2

    1. – Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure
    2. – Somewhere in Time album cover
    3. – Tony Blair
    4. – Doctor Who

The connect is : TARDIS, the time machine from doctor who.

From the trivia section of the wikipedia article on TARDIS,

    * The 1989 film Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure and its various spin-offs featured a time travelling phone booth, albeit without the roomy interior.

    * On the roof of the same building is a police telephone box; this is likely a reference to the time-traveling TARDIS of the BBC TV series Doctor Who.

    * When answering children’s questions on an episode of the BBC television programme Blue Peter in October 2006, the then British Prime Minister Tony Blair compared the interior of his official residence at 10 Downing Street to the TARDIS when asked if it was larger on the inside than it looked from the street. “Yes, I mean a lot bigger, we call it like the Tardis.”

    TARDIS
The TARDIS is a time machine and spacecraft in the British science fiction television programme Doctor Who. The name is an acronym of Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space.
