Answer: The object is the Cassini-Huygens spacecraft which was launched to flyby and analyze the planet Saturn and its satellites.

Clues – The “Cassini” part of the answer is half-clued everywhere :-)
Line 1 –  Cassini himself
Line 2 – Representations of Greek characters Dione, Rhea, Iapetus and Tethys, respectively. They also happen to be the names of Saturn’s moons that Cassini discovered

    Saturn

That’s Cassini in the first pic (after whom the rings are named)

The bottom 4 pics represent the satellites.

  2. Brilliant question dude!

  3. alephnull

The Cassini-Huygens probe which explored Saturn and it’s moons.

  5. Anirudh

    Cassini Spacecraft

The clues are Cassini himself and the mythological characters after whom 4 of saturn’s moons are named.

By “dead ringer” i’m assuming u r refering to Mimas, another moon of saturn which is a dead ringer of “the death star” from star wars

  6. nishas thambi

the cassini huygens probe to saturn

the gent would be cassini, and the four pictures are probably characters from greek mythology after whom the satellites he discovered are named?

  7. Quehin

    The Cassini-Huygens spacecraft.

( Half the clues are all about Cassini. eg. Visual of astronomer Giovanni Domenico Cassini, four of Saturn’s moons : Greek mythology visuals of Dione, Rhea, Lapetus etc).
