Loophole Arthur C. Clarke (astounding science fiction april 1946); Life Line Robert A. Heinlein (astounding science fiction august 1939); Marooned on Vesta Issac Asimov (amazing stories march 1939) - First publications of the big three for which they got paid.

Your question 'connect the three magazine covers' threw me off for quite a bit. Was trying desperately to connect the covers themselves.

A question close to my heart.

This refers to Science Fictions Holy trinity - Arthur C. Clarke (ho I think is head and shoulders above the other two), Issac Asimov, and Robert Heinlein.

The August 1939 Issue of Astounding Science Fiction (now known as Analog Science Fiction-Fact) has Heinleins first published story - Life-line
The April 1946 issue has Arthur C Clarkes first published story Loophole.

and that has to be then the 1939 issue of Amazing Storues with Asimovs forst published story Marooned off Vesta.

I could Check with the database if that is indeed the march 1939 issue of amazing stories, but I'm feeling needlessly smug.

Good question man ! I like the science tilt of late :-)
