(archana took it to the next level [heh] by identifying the exact level in the game!)
Answer:
A part of the soundtrack for the original QUAKE (and not Doom) was composed by Trent Reznor, of Nine Inch Nails fame. The “complete” connect would’ve been that the ammunition boxes in the game have the NIN logo on them.

The first picture is a screenshot of Doom, the original first-person-shooter game. In 2006, a movie called Doom, based on the game was released. From the soundtrack of the movie “You Know What You Are?” is a remix of covers of Nine Inch Nails’ (NIN) tracks.
The last picture of course, is Trent Reznor, who is the man that runs NIN.
As a continued association between NIN and the Quake/Doom series, the sound effects and background music on Quake, is credited to NIN again. It is also rumored that a nail box logo is visible on ammunition boxes on the original Quake.

If ever there were a marriage made in hell (and we mean that in a good way), it has to be Quake plus Nine Inch Nails. The venerable first-person shooter was, upon release, a breakthrough in terms of dark and scary immersive action. The same can be said for the soundtrack, put together by Trent Reznor of the industrial angst flag-bearer Nine Inch Nails. Look closely, and you can see the NIN logo embedded in the game.
