Answer:
Every installation of the Oracle RDBMS comes with a default username/password combination of scott/tiger. This originated with the guy in the pic, Bruce Scott. And yes, he also created the example EMP schema. See the comments for more history posted by various intrepid quizzers .

Bruce Scott was one of the first employees at Oracle (then Software Development Laboratories). He was co-author and co-architect of Oracle V1, V2 and V3. The SCOTT schema (EMP and DEPT tables), with password TIGER, was created by him. Tiger was the name of his cat.

Never seen a pic of him before.But i guess the dude is Bruce Scott, the guy from Oracle after whom all oracle installations have the default username as “scott” and the connects would be the oracle from the Matrix and password for the username “scott”.

He is Bruce Scott. He was one of the first employees at Oracle (the clue pic on the left). Bruce was co-author and co-architect of Oracle V1, V2 and V3. He created the sample schema “SCOTT” (containing tables like EMP and DEPT) with the password defaulted to TIGER (apparently named after his cat)(clue pic on the right).
